Logistics & supply chain

The paperwork moves slower than the freight.

Document automation, exception and ETA scoring, and fleet telemetry for carriers, forwarders and 3PLs.

  • Documents in minutes
  • Exceptions before the call
  • Works through dead zones

The starting point

What we hear in the first meeting.

If none of these sound like you, we are probably not the right call yet — and we will say so.

Every shipment arrives as a PDF

Bills of lading, keyed in twice.

Exceptions are found by phone

The customer calls before the system knows.

Plans are made against yesterday

A spreadsheet, a plan, and then reality.

Our approach

Margin per shipment is won in the exceptions.

The happy path is already automated. What costs money is the five percent that goes wrong and the people chasing it by email.

How we work →
  • Documents in, structured data out.

Bills of lading, invoices, customs packs.

  • Exceptions surface themselves.

Delay, dwell and shortfall flagged early.

  • Works where coverage does not.

Devices buffer offline and reconcile later.

  • Plans against live constraints.

Capacity, windows and cost, not averages.

Proof

How we have solved it in Logistics.

Challenge, solution, outcome. Names withheld, numbers not inflated.

Freight forwarder

Challenge
Every shipment arrived as a PDF and was keyed in twice.
Solution
Document extraction with confidence scores, feeding the existing TMS.
Outcome
Shipments opened in minutes, with the source page attached.

Carrier

Challenge
Customers reported delays before the system knew about them.
Solution
An exception engine scoring dwell, delay and shortfall risk per shipment.
Outcome
Service teams called the customer first, with a reason.

Third-party logistics

Challenge
Telematics gaps in coverage looked exactly like missing data.
Solution
Edge buffering with reconciliation on return, and gaps treated as expected.
Outcome
One fleet view operations stopped second-guessing.

Teams we work with

Who we build for

Different teams, different first project. The platform underneath is the same.

Freight forwarders

Customs and shipping document extraction at volume.

Carriers and fleets

Telemetry, driver safety signals and fuel analytics.

3PLs and warehousing

Dock scheduling, inventory accuracy, labour planning.

Network planning

Lane cost modelling and scenario comparison.

Customer service

Where a shipment is, and why it is late.

Finance and billing

Accessorial capture and invoice reconciliation.

Scope

What we deliver

Four things, in this order. Each one is useful on its own.

Full solution set →

Flow discovery

Two weeks tracing one lane end to end, paperwork included.

Document automation

Extraction with confidence scores and human review.

Exception and ETA engine

Live risk per shipment, with a reason attached.

Telemetry platform

Fleet data ingested, buffered offline, one view.

Engagement

How the engagement runs

No surprises about sequence, and no invoice before there is something to look at.

  1. Trace one lane

Paperwork, handoffs and the real delays

  2. Automate one document

The one costing the most hours

  3. Pilot on live freight

    Measured against today's exception rate

  4. Extend across lanes

    Then run it under SLA

Under the hood

What it is built on.

Your existing systems stay. We add the layers that are missing and run them.

Data sources

  • Bills of lading and invoices
  • Customs and eManifest packs
  • TMS and WMS records
  • Telematics and GPS feeds

AI layer

  • Extraction with confidence scores
  • ETA and exception scoring
  • Route and network optimisation
  • Human review queue

Infrastructure

  • Edge buffering on vehicles
  • Event streaming at volume
  • EDI and API integration
  • Dedicated private cloud

Private cloud

Infrastructure that assumes the signal drops.

Vehicles and sites buffer locally, the platform reconciles on return, and the core runs on dedicated capacity in the region your customers' data has to stay in.

  • Edge buffering on vehicles
  • Event streaming at volume
  • In-region data residency
  • Managed and monitored

What changes

Minutes
From document arrival to structured data
Pre-emptive
Exceptions flagged before the customer calls
Offline-safe
Telemetry survives dead zones

The Logistics AI readiness checklist

The questions we work through before recommending anything — data readiness, hosting constraints, review process and the running cost at year two. Use it with any vendor, including the ones that are not us.

  • Which document costs the most hours
  • What happens to data in a dead zone
  • Whether the TMS stays system of record
  • What an exception is worth catching early

Questions

Asked first, every time

Short answers. Longer ones are a conversation.

Will it read our carriers' documents, not just the clean ones?

That is the test that matters. We benchmark extraction on a sample of your worst scans and handwritten amendments during discovery, and route low-confidence fields to a person rather than guessing them.

We already have a TMS. Does this replace it?

No. The TMS stays the system of record. We feed it cleaner data and sit alongside it for the work it was never designed to do — reading documents and predicting exceptions.

How accurate are the ETAs?

More useful than precise, honestly. The value is in ranking which shipments are at risk and why, early enough to act. We report error against your own historical arrivals rather than quoting a headline figure.

Our trucks lose signal for hours. Does that break it?

No. Devices buffer locally and reconcile when coverage returns, and the platform treats gaps as expected rather than as missing data.

Can you integrate with customs and port systems?

Usually, via EDI, API or scheduled file exchange depending on what each authority and terminal supports. Which integrations are in scope is settled during discovery.
