Engineering & EPC

Twenty years of drawings, finally searchable.

Drawing and specification intelligence, plus simulation compute, for engineering and EPC firms.

  • Revision-aware drawing search
  • Tender clause extraction
  • Burst simulation compute

The starting point

What we hear in the first meeting.

If none of these sound like you, we are probably not the right call yet — and we will say so.

Knowledge is locked in file shares

The answer exists. Nobody can find it.

Tender documents are read by hand

Hundreds of pages, scanned for clauses.

Simulation queues set the schedule

Engineers wait while licences idle.

Our approach

The value is in the archive.

Engineering firms rarely need a novel model. They need two decades of drawings to answer a question in seconds instead of a week.

How we work →
  • Search drawings and documents.

    Titles, revisions, embedded text, metadata.

  • Specification extraction.

Clauses and tolerances with the page reference.

  • Compute on demand.

Burst capacity so queues stop setting dates.

  • IP stays yours.

Your archive trains nobody else's model.

Proof

How we have solved it in Engineering.

Challenge, solution, outcome. Names withheld, numbers not inflated.

EPC contractor

Challenge
Finding a 2014 detail took an engineer most of a week.
Solution
A revision-aware index across drawings, specifications and correspondence.
Outcome
The same question answers in seconds, on the current revision.

Design office

Challenge
Tender packs of several hundred pages were read clause by clause.
Solution
Clause extraction with a deviation report against the standard position.
Outcome
Bid teams reviewed exceptions instead of reading everything.

Analysis group

Challenge
Simulation queues, not engineers, set the project dates.
Solution
Managed burst compute alongside the existing solver licences.
Outcome
Runs started when the engineer was ready, not when the queue cleared.

Teams we work with

Who we build for

Different teams, different first project. The platform underneath is the same.

Design offices

Revision-aware search across CAD and as-builts.

Tendering and estimation

Clause extraction and deviation flagging.

Simulation and analysis

Managed HPC with queueing that fits your team.

Construction technology

AI features for builder and site platforms.

Scope

What we deliver

Four things, in this order. Each one is useful on its own.

Archive audit

What you have, what state it is in, what indexes first.

Design knowledge platform

Search across drawings, specs and correspondence.

Tender intelligence

Clause extraction and a deviation report.

Simulation compute

Dedicated or burst, managed, costed per project.

Engagement

How the engagement runs

No surprises about sequence, and no invoice before there is something to look at.

  1. Archive audit

What is actually in the file shares

  2. Index one discipline

    Value visible in weeks

  3. Roll out the index

    Access matching project structure

  4. Run it

    Managed indexing, compute and support

Under the hood

What it is built on.

Your existing systems stay. We add the layers that are missing and run them.

Data sources

  • Native CAD formats
  • Scanned drawings and PDFs
  • Specifications and tenders
  • Project correspondence

AI layer

  • Revision-aware retrieval
  • OCR and layout analysis
  • Clause and tolerance extraction
  • Deviation reporting

Infrastructure

  • Managed HPC and burst compute
  • Solver licence integration
  • Project-scoped access control
  • Private cloud or on-premise

Private cloud

Simulation capacity that is there when the engineer is.

Dedicated compute with burst headroom, so solver queues stop setting project dates — and your archive never leaves a boundary you control.

The Engineering AI readiness checklist

The questions we work through before recommending anything — data readiness, hosting constraints, review process and the running cost at year two. Use it with any vendor, including the ones that are not us.

  • What state the archive is really in
  • Which discipline indexes first
  • Whether licences or hardware is the bottleneck

Questions

Asked first, every time

Short answers. Longer ones are a conversation.

Our drawings are a mess of folders and naming conventions. Is that a problem?

It is normal, and it is the first thing we assess. A lot of the value comes from the index reconciling inconsistent naming and revision practice, rather than requiring you to clean up first.

Can it read scanned drawings and old PDFs?

Yes, through OCR and layout analysis. Accuracy depends on scan quality, which is why we benchmark against a sample of your worst documents, not your best.

Does our design IP get used to train a model?

No. Everything runs in infrastructure you control, and your content is not used to train any shared model. That is in the contract, not just the architecture.

Can you handle native CAD formats?

We extract metadata, text and where needed geometry from common formats. Which ones matter is settled during the archive audit.

What about simulation licences?

We provide the compute; your existing solver licences apply. Where licence pooling is the bottleneck rather than hardware, we will tell you that instead of selling you more of it.

How long does finding a drawing take today?

If the honest answer is measured in days, that is the project.

  • A reply within one working day, from an engineer rather than an account manager.
  • An honest read on whether this is worth doing now, or in a year.
  • No marketing list. Your details reach the solutions team and stop there.
